Breadmaking Courses

Column Bakehouse won ‘Best Local Food Product’ at the Plymouth Food Awards in 2014 and was also named ‘Best Business Start-Up’ at the Western Morning News Business Awards, and we are now ready to share our breadmaking secrets with the rest of the world in our Column Bakehouse breadmaking courses!

These breadmaking courses were extremely popular in the past, so we have decided to run them again in 2015. Our Head Baker Gilles Defrance is very excited to be delivering a new round of breadmaking courses to eager bakers, and loves sharing his passion with others.

These new breadmaking courses are designed for both beginners and more advanced bakers looking to develop their skills, and courses include our famous ‘Introduction to Breadmaking’, and the more specialist ‘Introduction to Sourdough’ and ‘Italian Breads’. All ingredients and use of professional equipment is included, and course sizes are kept small to allow for a more intimate baking experience!

We also run breadmaking courses for groups! These make excellent team-building exercises for you and your colleagues, work great as part of a fun celebration package or even for children as part of an educational visit!
